Our Services

If you are suffering from allergy symptoms, it’s a good idea to turn to an allergist for testing. Here at Allergy Institute in Ankeny, we offer comprehensive Allergy Testing (both skin and blood testing) to children and adults, as well as the following:

  • Allergy Treatment –We will diagnose your allergies and map out a customized treatment plan based on your symptoms. We may prescribe medication that you won’t get over-the-counter, as well as lifestyle modifications to help you avoid the offending allergens. If your allergies are severe, we may recommend Immunotherapy (also known as allergy shots).
  • Asthma Treatment – After we diagnose your symptoms, we will test lung function. Depending on the frequency of their symptoms and the doctor will prescribe a short-acting medication to alleviate symptoms and most likely a long-term medication to control inflammation of the airways and mucus buildup.
  • Food Allergy Testing – If you’re not sure which food or foods could be causing your symptoms, it’s important to see an allergist for testing. Allergy symptoms get in the way of our day-to-day life and some food allergies can become dangerous and require immediate medical attention, such as anaphylaxis (or a severe allergic reaction).
